Hi

I would like to upload linux version 6.12.6-1 to unstable.

It imports 6.12.6 on top of what is currently in unstable, it fixes
additionally with the new upstream stable version CVE-2024-53240 and
CVE-2024-53241 (which are XSA-465 and XSA-466).

The pending changes in the packaging are:

* [arm64] Enable rx8025 driver as module.
* drivers/block/zram: Enable lz4, lz4hc and zstd compression support
- Enable ZRAM_BACKEND_LZ4, ZRAM_BACKEND_LZ4HC and ZRAM_BACKEND_ZSTD
(Closes: #1086172)
* drivers/block/zram: Enable ZRAM_BACKEND_DEFLATE
* drivers/hwmon: Enable SENSORS_SPD5118 as module (Closes: #1090071)

Regards,
Salvatore

First off, thanks for having let us/me know about upcoming uploads, it's
very nice and appreciated.

I'd like to ask you to pause new uploads for a little while, until we
manage to get a d-i release out the door (or give up if that's not
manageable in a reasonable timeframe due to big bad blockers).

6.12.6-1 looks good at this point (just not quite old enough), I might
push it (1-2 days in advance) into testing depending on the state of
other packages, unless you have an objection?

Cheers,

No objection at all and think there are no new RC bugs reported (yet)
against it.

Beeing bit more verbose: I was planning to do the 6.12.7 upload once
it is relased (around 27th of December). The review is announced:
https://lore.kernel.org/stable/***@linuxfoundation.org/
but there is nothing urgent I think, so canbe postponed as neede for
the d-i release.

So in short: ok we will pause uploading 6.12.7 and subsequent until
you have had enough time for the d-i release and wait for your ack for
proceeding.

Does this works out?

Salvatore

Perfect, thanks. I've hinted the linux-* lot a few britney ago and they
migrated. I'm currently busy discovering and tying up loose ends
 I'm
not sure how many of them there are, but hopefully that's a manageable
number (famous last words).

And of course with the release published a few hours ago, feel free
to resume linux uploads. :)

Thanks! There should be upcoming soon a 6.12.8, so I plan to upload
that one (and FTR, 6.1.123 for bookworm's point release).
